...HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM SATURDAY TO 11 PM PDT
SUNDAY...
* WHAT...Very hot temperatures are expected this weekend. High
temperatures Saturday are expected to be between 95 and 105, and
97 to 107 degrees fahrenheit.
* WHERE...In California, Western Siskiyou County and Central
Siskiyou County, including the cities of Yreka, Montague,
Grenada, Gazelle, Etna, Fort Jones, Happy Camp, Somes Bar and
Seiad Valley. In Oregon, Josephine County and Jackson County,
including the cities of Medford, White City, Gold Hill,
Jacksonville, Talent, Ashland, Grants Pass, Applegate, Selma,
Cave Junction, and Obrien.
* WHEN...From 11 AM Saturday to 11 PM PDT Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses to occur,
especially for those working outdoors
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The high daytime temperatures combined with
warm overnight lows will result in heat risk and heat related
stress.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out
of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young
children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles
under any circumstances.
Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When
possible reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or
evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat
stroke. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing when
possible. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational
Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent
rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone
overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location.
