BIG RAPIDS - DNR conservation officer Angie Greenway points out it's been quiet, but she's not expecting it to be that way for too much longer. "Not a lot is going on right now," Greenway said. "Ice fishing has really turned off and kind of slowed down which is pretty typical for the end of February and this time of year. "Snowmobiling as actually been quite busy, especially as long as we have the snow conditions with the warmups hindering that a little bit. We'll see what the weather does. Other than that, it's been even keel again. There's still plenty of ice in most places. They should always be cautious. There was a lot of snow on the top of the lakes. Most of that is gone in a lot of places. There's good solid ice." Anglers were also fishing at Davis Bridge but not catching too much, Greenway said. Activity at Davis Bridge has been very quiet. Rabbit and other smallgame hunting continues until March 31.
