BALDWIN – Chance Dockery’s freshman season for the Baldwin boys basketball team has been a good one.

He’s played varsity all season.

“I’ve been playing with them in summer league since seventh grade,” Dockery said, adding he knew coming into this season he would be on the varsity. “It’s been going very good. When I’m on the court they want me to play good defense, and (on offense), get fast breaks, easy looks, pass the ball around and score.”

As a player “my strengths is my shooting and my layups,” Dockery said.

Dockery said the 3-pointer is his best shot.

“You always have to work on your shot,” Dockery said. “Never be satisfied with your shot. Keep working on it.”

Dockery is the younger brother of Blake Dockery, a former Baldwin basketball standout. They’re similar in their basketball styles, Chance said.

Chance Dockery also plays football at Baldwin but right now is focusing on helping the Panthers win a basketball title.
