BALDWIN -- Kathy Vandonkelaar has worked at the Marquette Trails Golf Course on and off since 1996.

She plays in the Tuesday After Five Ladies League at the course.

"We're a fun league and a social league," she said. "You play with someone different every week. There's four people who play at a time and two teams go out together."

There are 12 to 15 women who show up to the league and of all ages and sizes and skill levels, Vandonkelaar said.

"I've been golfing for years and I'm not good at it," she said. "We've had women's leagues for a long time. (Numbers) have been pretty consistent the last few years."

More golfers will be coming back from Florida, it's anticipated, in future weeks.

It's an open women's league which plays nine holes. There's 23 on the league list right now.
