BALDWIN – The Labor Day Softball Invitational at Gladwin over the weekend went to Superior, according to tourney director Curt Gravatt.

Superior of Grand Haven went undefeated throughout the tournament to win the title. It was a double-double elimination format, meaning each team had to lose four games before it was eliminated.

Games were played at both Hollister Park diamonds and the lights at one of the fields were used.

Exile from the Big Rapids area took second. Here for the Beer from the Scottville area took third place.

“Everything went off very good,” Gravatt said. “We played Friday, Saturday and it was over around 2 p.m. on Sunday. Saturday night was all night through the night into Sunday.”

The tournament is scheduled to be played again next Labor Day weekend in 2023.
