BALDWIN — Spencer Sabin is enjoying another strong season for Baldwin’s baseball team.

“I think we played pretty well,” he said after a twinbill split with Crossroads last week. “We had some minor errors like in fielding and outfielding. We dropped a few balls but otherwise played well. We came back and got the split. We’re happy about that.”

Sabin plays first base.

“I think I’ve improved a lot,” Sabin, a junior, said, “especially in digging up ground balls and one-hop balls. I’ve improved generally a lot more than last year.”

To hit the ball well, “you need to watch the ball when you’re batting.”

Sabin said the Panthers continue to show promise as a team. They play at McBain on Friday and are home on Monday against Pentwater.
