BALDWIN – Baldwin High instructor and girls track coach Scott Pedigo has announced he is taking a leave of abscene from those two duties this spring to fill in during a vacancy as the area Uniserv Director for the Michigan Education Association.

The uniserv director serves as a liaison between the MEA and the individual school district education associations.

Pedigo indicated he will return to his other duties at the end of spring when his uniserv director stint has ended.

Pedigo has also served as football and basketball coach, plus athletic director at Baldwin. He currently is an assistant varsity coach at Big Rapids and also works with BR elementary school girls basketball teams. He also is a director with the Northland United Soccer Club.

There has not been an announcement yet on who will take Pedigo’s track coaching duties at Baldwin.
