BALDWIN - Baldwin coach Bob Watkins has one game remaining and the Panthers are hoping to do well on Friday night at Onekama.

The home season ended on Friday with a 56-14 loss to Brethren.

"This was kind of disappointing," Baldwin coach Bob Watkins said, after his Panthers fell to 2-6 overall.

"We kind of got hit in the mouth, and I didn't think we rose to the occasion. We're young and they're not experienced.

"Brethren has a good team. Right now, they're second in the conference (West Michigan D League) and they're looking for the playoffs. The second half we stepped it up and played better. Turnovers killed us in the second half. We had a couple of drives that were squashed."

As for the Onekama game, "we've got one more," Watkins said. "I told the kids it will be a true test of character on who shows up Monday for practice."
