BALDWIN - Lightning invaded Baldwin's road game on Friday at Manistee Catholic Central.

But the Baldwin defense lacked enough thunder to came up with a win and fell to 1-4 with a 26-0 loss to Manistee Catholic Central.

"I had a couple of guys who could have potentially helped us," Baldwin coach Bob Watkins said.

The game was delayed by lightning at the beginning of the third quarter. It was 20-0 at halftime and Manistee Catholic scored for a 26-0 lead. Then came the lightning and the game was never resumed following a lengthy delay.

Watkins was disappointed with his team's overall performance.

"We made a lot of mistakes," Watkins said. "We have to regroup. We have Marion this week. We made some personnel changes. We have a lot of youthfulness and it shows."

The Panthers are working with 17 players. Some are taking on a lot of responsibility, in some cases perhaps more than desired, Watkins said. But players are used as circumstances dictate.
