BALDWIN - It was a productive day for Baldwin's volleyball squad on Saturday in the West Michigan D League tournament.

The Panthers were 2-2 with victories over Custer-Mason County Eastern and Bear Lake, and lost to Marion and Brethren.

"We had lost to those two teams previously and had beaten the other two teams," Roberts said. "The Brethren game was very close. Playing three back-to-back games caused my girls to be tired and out of their normal rhythm."

Baldwin finished sixth out of 10 teams.

"We had a stellar performance from Jenna Johnson," Roberts said, plus "Savanah Bloom at libero. They all contributed and played a good game. Each of the girls brought something great to the morning. It was fun and amazing. We're preparing ourselves now for the districts and adding a few games as much as we can. We're looking at some tris and quads to play different teams in the area"

Baldwin plays Crossroads at Crossroads 6 p.m. on Nov. 6 in a district semifinal game.
