BALDWIN -- Middle school boys basketball has started at Baldwin.

Co-coaches Abe and Yvonne Williams had a week of practice to get their A and B teams ready for the first games on Monday at home against Marion.

"We only had one week of practice," Williams said. "For one week of practice it was pretty good."

The B team won while the A team lost, Williams said. Additional details were not available. There are various seventh and eighth graders on both teams, Williams said. "We have some sixth graders too. I think we have 21 (players overall)."

Baldwin is home on Wednesday.

Top players "are hard to say right now," Williams said. "We've only had one game. It was back and forth."

The opponent on Thursday will be Mason County Central. The Panthers will play at Crossroads Charter Academy on Monday and is home on Nov. 13 with Walkerville.
