CUSTER – Baldwin’s boys basketball team lost its first game of the season on Thursday at Mason County Eastern.

Coach JJ Eads called it a “very frustrating evening.” His team fell to 5-1 and 5-1 in the West Michigan D League. MCE is 4-1 in the league and 4-2 overall.

“We blew a 15-point lead in the second quarter,” Baldwin coach JJ Eads said. “MCE got within five at halftime 29-24. We led basically until the three-minute mark. Our lack of defensive rebounding was the main downfall tonight.”

Carmelo Lindsey scored 20 points while SJ Hossler had 13 for Baldwin.

“We didn’t shoot well from the 3-point line again,” Eads said.

Baldwin will be be home with Mesick on Thursday.
