BALDWIN — The season is winding down the next few weeks for the Marquette Trails Golf Club

The course recently hosted the Big Hole Open, which had 24 three-man teams for 72 total players and the biggest turnout in the history of the tournament.

The holes are six inches for this tournament, about 1 1/2-inch wider than normal.

Coming up is the 37th annual Baldwin Rotary Club outing on Sept. 21 with registration at 11 a.m. and shotgun start at noon. It will be a four-person scramble with men’s, ladies or mixed format.

Seth Wenger is in charge of the event.

The ladies league ended its season on Aug. 29 with a fun night and banquet. The Thursday men’s league concluded last week

“It’s winding down,” club employee Doc Huzel said. “We’ll keep open (for golf) if the weather is good.”
