Ladies Night set at Lake County Sportsman Club

BALDWIN – The Lake County Sportsman Club has scheduled a Ladies’ Night of Shooting for women of any age and any location.

The nights of fun and learning will be the second Wednesday of every month May 11, June 8, July 13, Aug. 10, Sept. 14 and Oct. 12, from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Lake County Sportsman’s Club on 7249 McKinley Road in Baldwin.

Persons can call (231) 499-7438 or email to sign up, or if you have any questions. There will be a maximum of eight ladies for the first two classes. So, sign up soon. 

A safety class will be mandatory at 6:30 p.m. before the class. EVERYONE must take the safety class before shooting. Equipment you must bring and clothes requirements are your pistol (revolver or semi-auto); safety glasses (or your regular glasses if you wear them) ear plugs or ear muffs, no open-toed shoes or sandals and no low-cut shirts.

Participants can want a hat with a bill such as a baseball cap). The cost is $5 per night, and per nonmember. 

Bring at least 50 to 100 rounds of ammunition. If you are lacking eyes or ears protection, please let a club official know before the class.

Safety is of utmost importance. There will be ladies from novice to experienced levels. Guns must be brought to the range in a case and not removed from the case until told to do so.
