Tournament director Curt Gravatt said Superior from Grand Haven took second place while Low Key from Kalamazoo took first. It was a double elimination tournament.
“It went pretty well,” Gravatt said. “We had nine teams. It went Saturday all day and wound up ending 9 at night.”
Gravatt said next up is the Labor Day weekend tournament which features a double-double elimination format. Teams are in it until they lose four games. It will start Friday and end Sunday afternoon. Some games will be played under the lights. With 10 teams, this will mean anywhere from 36 to 39 games.
