BALDWIN — Freshmen twins Derrick and Dexter Hossler have been making progress and playing solid football for the Baldwin Panthers this season.

Derrick has been playing defensive end.

“It’s been going good,” he said. “We could win more.”

As a defensive end, Hossler indicated he’s been able to get past his blocker.

“I can tackle pretty good,” he said.

The Panthers are 1-7, but have had some strong games. That includes a 40-14 win over North Adams-Jerome, plus a 29-16 loss to White Cloud last weekend when Baldwin was up 16-3 at halftime.

“White Cloud, we played a decent game,” Hossler said. “They were better than us.”

Friday, Baldwin plays at Evart (5-3) to end the season.

“We’re just going to give it our all,” Hossler said. “Everybody is pretty healthy.”
