BALDWIN — Rusty Fullerton has accepted a new football coaching position with Crossroads Charter Academy.

Fullerton, who has been an assistant football coach at Baldwin, and was junior high coach last year, said he will be defensive coordinator at Crossroads. The head coach is Thomas Wheeler.

“I applied and they showed interest,” Fullerton said.

He indicated he’ll be partaking in summer workouts with the team. Crossroads was 0-9 last season and plays in the West Michigan D League.

Fullerton said he’s not yet familiar with the personnel for Crossroads and couldn’t comment on prospects for the 2018 season.

Fullerton is a paraprofessional at Baldwin Schools. He lives in Baldwin and was girls basketball coach last season. He indicated his winter coaching plans are currently unknown.
