Fishing remains strong in Baldwin area
BALDWIN — Fishing has been very good around the Lake County area, as far as Jim Warren is concerned.
The Baldwin resident has observed some excellent fishing conditions lately.
Warren said his grandson Tyler Clugston of Baldwin caught a huge sized pike earlier this week.
“He’s been getting a lot of nice bluegills too,” Warren said. “He’s been doing really good up here. We’re getting bluegills and some nice perch. Right now he’s concentrate on bass fishing.”
Clugston has been fishing at area public lakes, his grandfather said.
“He and Ryan Kolenbrander are doing a lot of fishing at Bitley Lake, Wolf Lake and North Lake, Waren said. “They’ve been doing good smallmouth bass at Wolf Lake.
Warren hasn’t heard too many turkey hunting reports.
“But I’ve had a lot of turkeys in my yard,” he said. “I’ve got a lot of bears my trail cameras. I’ve got a mama bear with two litle cubs. They’re about the szie of a cockerspaniel. The bears seem to stay in back of the property. We don’t bother them and they don’t botther us. But they’re fun to watch.”
