BIG RAPIDS - The Ferris State University women's soccer team will continue its 2022 campaign in postseason play as the Bulldogs square off against Grand Valley State in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament Semifinals on Friday.

The fourth-seeded Bulldogs and the top-seeded Lakers will face each other in the second league semifinal starting at 6 p.m. at the Grand Valley State Soccer Field in Allendale. The first semifinal will pit second-seeded Northern Michigan against third-seeded Saginaw Valley State starting at 3 p.m.

The winners of the two semifinal games will then face each other on Sunday in the league tournament championship match in Allendale starting at 4 p.m.

All three games this weekend will be webcasted by FloSports and live internet statistics will also be provided. Complete coverage links will be available online at FerrisStateBulldogs.com by visiting the women's soccer schedule page.

FSU is coming off an impressive 3-1 quarterfinal-round victory at home over fifth-seeded Michigan Tech on Tuesday. The Bulldogs and the Lakers squared off twice during league regular-season play and battled to a pair of draws.

The Bulldogs are making their 13th consecutive GLIAC Tournament appearance this season and 15th overall in program history. FSU has now advanced to the conference semifinals eight times in the last 11 years to date, including five-straight years, and won its first league tournament postseason championship a year ago.

The Bulldogs are coach by Greg Henson

Tickets for the GLIAC Tourney can be purchased online at GVSUTickets.com and are $10 for adults, $7 for seniors (age 55+) or $5 for youth (age 3-17). Tickets are valid for both of Friday's semifinal games.

The Bulldogs, who are currently 10-4-5 overall this year, were also ranked fifth in the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Rankings last week and in consideration to receive the program's third-ever postseason appearance. The official national tournament selections will be announced on Monday evening following the conclusion of league tournament play.
