Dockery set to have strong junior season

BALDWIN  —  Blake Dockery had a strong sophomore season for Baldwin’s basketball team.

But he’s confident his junior campaign can be even better.

“I went pretty good,” Dockery said of the 2015-16 season. “But it could do better.”

The Panthers graduated key players like Da’Ron Copeland so Dockery imagines he’ll be called upon to deliver in various areas.

“I’ll be more aggressive,” he said. “I can see myself shooting 3s.”

Dockery has especially been effective on offense from the driving standpoint.

Defensively, “we’ll be good,” Dockery said. “We have a lot of athletic players.”

Pedigo is back as varsity coach and Dockery said his players are getting used to his system.

“We’re starting to get used to each other, playing together,” Docjery said. “We’ve got some depth on this team.”
