BALDWIN – Baldwin boys basketball team had three players receive honors from the West Michigan D League announced recently.

Carmelo Lindsey was on first team while Jesse Pancio and SJ Hossler earned honorable mention. Lindsey averaged 20 points, eight rebounds, five steals and 3.6 assists per game.

“We were down 15 in the second quarter and he helped us come back and win a key game when we were struggling,” Baldwin coach JJ Eads said. “He was one of our leaders that guided us to an 18-5 record despite losing four seniors that contribute a lot and three guys that transferred. He was our best player who plays well on both sides of the ball.

“He has been first team all-league his freshman and sophomore year, and also BCAM honorable mention as well.”

Pancio averaged nine points, four rebounds, two steals and three assists per game.

“He was a consistent player and leader of our team, and very dependable,” Eads said.

Hossler, a sophomore, averaged nine points, four rebounds, two steals and three assists per game.

“He had 22 points vs MCE in the district semifinal. He was a much improved player on both ends of the court during the season, and became a threat for us that helped us achieve 18 wins,” Eads said.
