“Each of the games were very close,” Panther coach Duane Roberts said. “There was a lot of opportunities for Baldwin to take the win and the set. But communication errors got in the way.”
Baldwin had strong performances from Lejla Haznedravic in attacks, Naomi Marsh-Robinson in all-around play and Abigail Oisten with serves and attacks, Roberts said.
Baldwin’s JV team lost 2-0.
The next home contest is this Thursday against Brethren in a JV-varsity match.
Baldwin lost on Thursday to Mason County Eastern 3-2.
“We should have capitalized on the difference mistakes and miscommunication of MCE,” Roberts said. “But instead we let our own communication errors get in the way. I‘m hoping we start peaking in the next week. That way we can have a great shot at winning the conference tournament at MCE on Oct. 15.
