ONEKAMA — Crossroads Charter Academy and Baldwin track and field teams were in action on Monday in the West Michigan D League championships.

On the boys side, CCA took second as a team with 171 points while Baldwin finished in seventh with 21 total points. Onekama took first place with 183. 

Baldwin had one runner-up finish for the boys as the 800-meter relay team of Da’Ron Copeland, Reno Wilcox, Brandon Beane and Marcelus Wilkerson took second (1:40.52).

“There were some fast guys out there,” Beane said. “But we did pretty good.”

For the girls, Crossroads finished in sixth place with 16 total points with Baldwin right behind in seventh with 14.

Hannah Sprik had the best finish for the Cougars girls with a third-place run in the 100-meter dash (13.87). The best finish for Baldwin was Makayla George, who took third in the 200 (29.70).

Baldwin will be competing in The Pioneer Track & Field championships Friday night at Ferris State.
