Baldwin 64, Manistee Catholic 47 (boys), Feb. 9

MANISTEE – The game was tied 23-23 at halftime and  Baldwin had a 41-24 scoring edge in the second half.

Carmelo Lindsey had 15 points while SJ Hossler had 14, Louise Jackson 11 and Jalik Hawkins 10.

“We played a solid second half,” Baldwin coach JJ Eads said. “We shot the ball really bad in the first half.”

MCBAIN – The Bucks trailed 19-14 after the first quarter, 28-17 at halftime and 47-21 after the third quarter.

Madi Sparks had 11 points for the Bucks plus five rebounds and four assists. Amanda Hill had eight points as did Lynn Belvin, who also had three rebounds.

“We stayed with them the first quarter and stuck with them about a half,” Pine River coach Paula Justin said. “We just couldn’t hang on.”

 Pine River is 3-8 in the Highland Conference and 5-10 overall.
