Baldwin sports programs bouncing back
BALDWIN — Storm damage from last week forced Baldwin sports teams to work around different schedules.
Practices got back to normal on Tuesday
Athletic director Scott Pedigo said Friday’s Bear Lake at Baldwin football game was canceled and will not be rescheduled. It won’t be counted as a forfeit, but as a non game when it comes to playoff points.
Volleyball wasn’t able to practice last week, Pedigo noted, because of the power outage. The gym was used as a community shelter following the storm damage.
“Football tried to practice on Thursday but only had 7 or 8 kids because of the damages,” Pedigo said. “Transportation was also an issue.”
The home football game will be on against Mesick on Friday.
Baldwin Men’s Softball League president Curt Gravatt said the Labor Day Softball Tournament was canceled because of the storm.
