Baldwin set for softball game at MCE

BALDWIN — Baldwin’s softball team returns to action Thursday at Custer-Mason County Eastern for West Michigan D League play.

“We’re looking forward to it,” said Baldwin coach Bob Hilts. “They’re tough but we played well against them in a tournament. We want to make a good showing.”

That’s the only action this week for the Panthers who have three doubleheaders next week.

On Monday, Baldwin is home with Bear Lake and then play Walkerville at home Wednesday. A twinbill at home is set for Baldwin on Thursday against Muskegon Heights.

“We should beat Muskegon Heights,” Hilts said. “We have a good shot at Bear Lake on Monday too. We match up well with Walkerville. We should do well.”
