Also a standout football player, Sidock is coming off a strong bowling season for the Panthers where he nearly qualified for the state finals. He said he had a strong first five games but faltered in the

sixth.

Sidock said this was his best season of the three he’s bowled in high school. He wound up with a 181 average.

“I improved a lot,” he said.

Sidock said he’ll be playing baseball and track this spring. He’s figuring on outfield in baseball and shot put in track.

It’s his first year of track. He played basketball last year.

“Our athletic director wanted me to do (track),” said Sidock, referring to Abe Williams, also the track coach.

Sidock also played linebacker and running back last fall in football. He said he’ll be playing in an upcoming all-star football game in Muskegon.
