Baldwin’s JV team improves to 3-0

BALDWIN — Baldwin’s boys junior varsity basketball team gained its second win of the season Thursday with a 67-33 triumph over Pentwater at home.

Baldwin was up 10-9 after the first quarter, 22-15 at halftime and 49-24 after the third period.

The Panthers emptied their bench in the fourth quarter.

McDonald, “is really progressing,” Baldwin coach Shawn Williams said. “He’s a junior, so he’s playing excellent basketball right now. I want to give a hand out to my point guard, Malik Pollard. He’s done a tremendous job with keeping us calm, getting us in good sets. He’s been a good point guard and is doing an excellent job.”

On Tuesday, the JVs prevailed over Walkerville 55-31. McDonald and Armando Jennings led the Panthers with 12 points apiece.

Baldwin plays at Custer-Mason County Eastern on Thursday in the final game prior to the holiday break.
