BALDWIN – A very optimistic and confident veteran Baldwin volleyball coach Duane Roberts puts his volleyball team on the court this week as the Panthers debut their 2022 season with hopes of being a strong force in the West Michigan D League.

Baldwin will have 14 dates on its schedule for junior varsity and 17 for varsity games.

The JV will play at 5:30 p.m. and the varsity at 6:30 this Thursday in a home match against White Cloud to open the season in nonleague play.

Baldwin will be at White Cloud on Aug. 25 to play the host school and Holton in a tri-meet. Then it’s a big home date on Sept. 6. The JV team will play the Big Rapids freshmen followed by a varsity match between Baldwin and Cadillac Heritage.

The Panthers will open West Michigan D play on Sept. 8 at Pentwater and also play league matches at Marion on Sept 15 and at home on Sept 20 against Manistee Catholic and on Sept. 22 against Big Rapids Crossroads.

The JVs will be at an invitational at Lakeview on Sept. 10 while the varsity will be at the Kalkaska Invitational on Sept. 24.

Cierra Pieske graduated from last year’s team and her shoes won’t be easy to fill.
