BALDWIN – Carmelo Lindsey is in his junior boys basketball season and is hoping it will be a good one for the Baldwin Panthers.

He was encouraged with a scrimmage the Panthers had last Thursday at Evart against the host school and Lakeview.

“We did good,” Lindsey said. “I think we did better than last Monday (at Tri County).”

There are 16 Baldwin JV and varsity players on the roster.

“We focused on getting together and running the floor,” Lindsey said. “We need to improve on talking and rebounding.”

The Panthers are defending West Michigan D league champs and are hopeful of contention this year. They open at Pentwater on Dec. 9 and have home games on Dec. 14 against Marion and Dec. 16 against Manistee Catholic Central.
