BALDWIN – The Baldwin boys basketball team was set to return to action Thursday of this week at home against Walkerville in West Michigan D League action.

“We host Walkerville on Thursday,” Baldwin coach JJ Eads said. “They have a couple solid guards and an effective post player so we'll have to be ready to defend on the perimeter and rebound. Neither of us are very deep this year so we'll need to really get back in shape and stay out of foul trouble.

“Tuesday, we host MCE who has one of the best backcourts in the league. It will be a good matchup of teams that have good guard play and we will have to be ready. We will need to get the ball inside and utilize our post players early and often. Defensively we'll have to stay in front of their guards and chase them off the three point line, and as always rebound the ball effectively on both ends of the court.”

Baldwin enters the new year with a 5-0 record. The Panthers will play at Mesick on Jan. 12.
