BALDWIN — Baldwin’s girls bowling team had a strong performance Saturday at The Gate in Big Rapids.

Nicole Mooney had a strong showing for the Panthers. She shot a 137 and 211. Baldwin lost to Mason County Central, but only had four bowlers, losing by 27 pins the first game and 22 the second game.

“Overall, we did pretty good,” Baldwin coach Nick Miller said. “We were short bowlers because of the (school) testing. With missing the bowlers, I was happy the way they performed.”

The boys varsity and JV teams for Baldwin played each other.

Baldwin is scheduled to have a home event at the Baldwin Bowling Center on Saturday against Charter Crossroads Academy. Action starts at 2 p.m.
