Baldwin girls lose to Walkerville

BALDWIN — Baldwin’s girls basketball team lost 50-36 at home Tuesday night against Walkerville in West Michigan D League action.

Senior Marissa Kelly said a foot injury limited her minutes in Tuesday’s game.

“We were up in the third quarter but then I don’t know what happened,” she

said.

“My foot hurts a little bit but I think I’ll be able to play next game,” Kelly said. “We’re at Mason County Eastern on Thursday. I hear they’re pretty

good.”

Baldwin will also play at Onekama Feb. 14 and is home Feb. 16 against Brethren and Feb. 23 against Bear

Lake.

BOYS BASKETBALL

BALDWIN — Brandon Childress netted 18 points while Karlos Perez added 17 points and eight rebounds and Andon Ware contributed 14 points and eight boards in Baldwin’s 58-37 win against Pentwater on Friday.

The win snapped a four-game losing streak for the 7-4 Panthers, who play at Mason County Eastern on Friday.
