BALDWIN - Baldwin's volleyball team played at home on Thursday against Mesick but suffered a 3-0 setback.

"It was a rough game," coach Duane Roberts said. "I wasn't able to coach. The officials cancelled on us late Wednesday night so I had to officiate. My girls' biggest problem was lack of talking at times."

The Panthers played at Brethren on Tuesday with junior high, JV and varsity action.

Results were not available at presstime.

Baldwin plays at Bear Lake on Thursday. The season ends on Oct. 12 at Brethren in the West Michigan D League tournament.

Abigail Oisten has been playing well for the Panthers in recent weeks, Roberts said, in attacks and serving, as a freshman. Savana Bloom has performed well as an all-around player, Roberts said.
