Baldwin girls bowling team defeats MCC

BALDWIN — Baldwin’s girls bowling team got off to a winning start in the team’s season opener on Saturday.

The Panthers defeated Mason County Central 25-5.

Nicole Mooney shot a 205 along with a 152, while Brittany Bowling notched a 182 and Rosie Lemieux shot a 155.

“The girls did real well,” Baldwin coach Nick Miller said. “The boys are in a rebuilding process. It’s a learning experience.”

Leading boys bowlers will be Tyler Clugston and Deshawn Moore.

Baldwin plays 1 p.m. on Saturday at The Gate Lanes in Big Rapids against an opponent to be announced later.

The team practices Monday through Wednesday at the Baldwin Bowling Center.
