BALDWIN — Baldwin’s volleyball team is entering the final weeks of its schedule and freshman Areyanna Boatwright has been impressed with the progress her team has enjoyed.

Boatwright likes the way the team played at the West Michigan D League tournament on Saturday. Boatwright has been focusing on hitting.

Baldwin doesn’t have a junior varsity team, so Boatwright and other freshmen have been on the varsity.

“We have to talk and communicate,” she said. “I think we’re getting better. We just need to talk more.”

The Panthers were sixth at the West Michigan D League tournament on Saturday. They beat Muskegon Heights 3-1 on Tuesday. They are at Evart on Thursday and begin district action on Oct. 31 at Pentwater against Mason County Eastern.
