Baldwin football, volleyball players set for fundraising on Nov. 3

BALDWIN — Baldwin’s football team will be playing volleyball 6 p.m. on Nov 3 against the Panthers girls varsity players.

But the event will be Community Awareness Night for “Kids competing against Cancer.”

Athletic director Shawn Williams said there will be free admission, prizes, give-a-ways, food and a raffle drawing.

The football program has a theme of “tackle cancer. The volleyball program’s theme is spike out cancer.”

Baldwin players this year have included, in volleyball, Janay Scales, Alexis Mooney, Riley Drilling, Diamond Cannon, Jenna Johnson, April See, Alene See, Jazalynn Johnson, Marissa Bacon, Alissa Barnard, Katherine Higbee, Mariah Sowle, KeAsijah Palmer, Elexus Pieske, Moncia Truxton, Areanna Boatwright and Aja Tate.

Football players this year have included Ahmad Gorham, Malik Pollard, Tyler Clugston, Ryan Kolenbrander, Daniel McCarthy, Blake Dockery, Isiah Defreece, DeShawn Ramus, Demarko Williams, Armdondo Jennings, Brad Taylor, Derrick and Deter Hossler, Palmer Martin, Brandon Vollemer, David Kolenbrander, Lance and La’Kie Donald, Darrion Hayter, Kendall Phillips, Darrin Thomas, DiVante Ponder, Daniel Rowland, Matt Byrd, Shawndale Dukes and Deondra McDonald.
