BALDWIN – It wasn’t the most points Rock Mid-Peninsula had given up in a football game when it lost 82-26 to Baldwin on Saturday at Pellston.

But it was still a lot of points. Baldwin won the game 82-26

Baldwin ended its season with two straight wins and a 2-5 record. Mid-Peninsula fell to 1-5. The Upper Peninsula school has lost 90-0 to Wild Rose, Wis. and 76-38 to Onekama.

“I was overly impressed,” Baldwin coach Bob Watkins said. “It was shaky in the beginning. We didn’t get there as early as I wanted. We went back and forth three plays and out. Jalen’e Allen kind of exploded on them.

“(Carmelo Lindsey) was kind of banged up and wasn’t 100 percent. But our running game was outrageous. Even when we ran the same thing over and over again they didn’t seem able to stop us. I have to give some of the credit to our line. It’s unusual for us to score that many points. We had multiple people score.”
