BALDWIN — The weight room at Baldwin High School is a very active place nowadays.

Baldwin football players and other athletes are coming to the facility during the week to get in condition for the upcoming season. Dashawn Moore, a sophomore running back and defensive back, has been among the attendees.

Moore said he’s been coming every day to the sessions.

“I’m lifting weights,” he said. “I’m trying to get my chest bulkier. This has been helpful quite a bit. Ever since I’ve been here, I’ve gotten stronger.”

Moore said coming to the summer weightroom sessions has been very hopeful.

‘“It gives me something to do when I get here,” he said. “We have other people on different days.”

That includes La’Kie Donald, a freshman lineman.

“This is good,” he said. “I feel much better.”
