BALDWIN – Football coach Bob Watkins is hoping to get the numbers out for his football program as he prepares for the 2022 season.

Practices begin on Aug. 8 officially. Watkins has had the weight room open Mondays and Wednesdays and is hoping to get more players involved.

“My hands are up in the air not knowing what to expect,” he said.

Watkins is focusing on the weight room and getting as many players as possible in there.

“We may throw the ball around and work on some technique stuff,” Watkins said.

Baldwin continues to have 8-player football. Watkins is hoping to have enough eligible players for a team and have a good practice season. He said senior quarterback Carmelo Lindsey has been working out with receivers. The season starts on Aug. 25.
