BALDWIN – The showdown is set for this Thursday at Mesick.

Baldwin is 7-0 after Tuesday’s 65-44 win over Mason County Eastern and plays a Mesick team which, like the Panthers, is undefeated in the West Michigan D League.

In Tuesday’s game, Carmelo Lindsey had 22 points to lead Baldwin despite having early foul trouble. He had 17 points in the second half.

Louie Jackson had 16 points while David Lee had 13 points.

“It was just a real slow start and we were just not consistent on either side of the ball,” Eads said. “But we were able to gut it out

“It’s a big league game at Mesick. They’ve won 27 straight league games.”

Abe Williams and his wife Yvonne coached the Baldwin middle school boys basketball team, which Williams said was undefeated in the league's Southern Division and won the league tournament this year.
