BALDWIN – As he gets his basketball players back from Christmas break, Baldwin boys basketball coach Dwight Eads will try to get his players ready for a busy slate of games the next two months.

Baldwin coach JJ Eads was focusing on trying to have enough varsity players for a scrimmage at Pine River on Thursday afternoon.

The next game is set for Jan. 6 at Crossroads Charter Academy Big Rapids, with a 5:30 p.m. tipoff.

Carmelo Lindsey and Jesse Pancio are playing well for the Panthers.

“Jessie provides some stability for us and leadership,” Eads said. “SJ Hossler is off to a really good start. He didn’t even come out for our game against Manistee Catholic. I put him in for all 32 minutes. He’s pretty steady out there on both ends of the floor. He stays out of foul trouble. It’s good to see him come around for us.”

The next home game for Baldwin will be on Jan. 11 against Walkerville in West Michigan League action.
