BALDWIN — Two Baldwin athletes have qualified for the state track and field finals on June 2 at Hudsonville.

Blake Dockery will be going in the long jump and Jenna Johnson in the 100-meter dash.

They both qualified from the Division 4 regional meet on Friday at Holton.

Dockery’s jump was 21-5 ½ and beat the second-place jumper by more than two inches.

Baldwin’s Ahmad Goram was seventh in the 100-meter dash (12.45) with a personal record.

Dexter Hossler was 17th in the 800 meters (2:32.03) with a personal record.

Johnson was third in the girls 100-meter dash and took third in 13.22. She goes to the state meet. She was third in the 200 at 28.26. Her 100-time qualified her for the state meet.

“We figured those two would make it,” Baldwin coach Scott Pedigo said. “Jenna was also close in the 200. The weather was nice. It was a little windy.”
