Baldwin JVs beat Crossroads

BALDWIN — Baldwin’s junior varsity boys basketball team scored a 47-19 victory over Crossroads Charter Academy on Thursday.

Tyler Clugston and Ryan Kolenbrander had 15 points apiece for Baldwin, 5-5 overall.

The Panthers are coached by Erica Tate, while Lindsey Jackson serves as assistant coach.

“The first half was kind of a struggle,” Tate said. “So we had to kind of clean it up, especially with boxing out and getting the ball moving around and everything. We had to execute the plays.”

“Mainly, we’ve been focusing on fundamentals,” Jackson said. “We’re focusing on the players improving on the JVs so they’re ready for the varsity level. We’re trying to get the kids to realize they’ve got more improving to do.”

Other Baldwin players are Isiah Walker, Roger See, Demarko Williams, Divante Ponder, Darin Thomas, Zack Lovett, Daniel McCarthy, Shaundell Dukes, Cole Sowle, Andre Hobbs and Lakie Donald.

Baldwin plays home Jan. 27 against Pentwater.
