Why are you so angry?

Is it because you are trapped in your house? Are your imagined rights being violated? There seems to be no end in sight to the excuses.

Don't let anger raise up in your heart. Examine yourself. Exercise self-control. Trust God and go on, won't you?

Aren't you glad God isn't angry like that toward us? I mean, anger that would bring immediate judgment. The Bible says, "The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion, slow to anger, and of great mercy." (Psa. 145:8)

Our sin required God's Son, Jesus, to shed his blood on the cross to pay our sin debt. We would be livid! Yet, our great God promises help to us. "A God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness." (Nehemiah 9:17)

Stop, believe God. Repent of your sin. You must call on the name of Christ. It's urgent! Put your faith in the living Savior. We are sinners who need God's help. Instead, in our selfishness, we sin.

We, on the other hand, tend to express anger in a sinful manner. Look around yourself. We scream, "I know my rights!" We ignore the truth. We cling to our truth not the truth. We rush to judgment without cause. We fight under the banner of our feelings have been hurt.

We may think that's OK. God have mercy upon us in these days! The Bible says, "Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools." (Ecclesiastes 7:9)

Where do you stand in this chaos and confusion? Do you believe you have a right to feel offended about everything? The pressures are real. After all, we are shut up in close quarters in this heat.

So, the question seems to be, what should I do? "He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly" (Prov. 14:17) Some say, "Well I just blow up and feel better." Shouldn't we wait on God?

Look at the violence and hysteria today. Damage is done inside the home or outside of it. Is it good, godly or Christian?

God's word says, "He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city." (Prov. 16:32) Learn to obey God. When your anger lifts its ugly head for whatever reason, turn to God for His strength.

He will deliver you.

What are you doing? "A wrathful man stirreth up strife: but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife." (Prov. 15:18) Do you justify sinful anger? Are you blinded to the spiritual war that is brought about by Satan? God says, "Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil." (Psa. 37:8) Anger is evil. Will you follow His directions?

What is the will of God? First, trust Christ as your personal Savior. Then follow Him by faith, day by day. Why not settle your eternal destiny? Why not experience the love of God?

He is waiting for you to call on His name. His arms are open to receive you now. Will you come? Forsake that anger and let the Holy Spirit fill you now. Don't wait. Don't hesitate.

Trust God now.
