We could use some good news!
But if we don't get it, when we want, we still look to the goodness of God for our help. "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." (Psa. 46:1)
Are you trusting in Him? "For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee." (Psa. 84:11,12) Are you walking with Him?
We could worry all day long, but why would you? It doesn't help. In Psa. 37, God says, "Trust in the Lord, and do good. ... Delight thyself also in the Lord. ... Commit thy way unto the Lord." (Psa 37:3-5) Will you obey God?
Good news is that God will not forsake us. In the chaos and confusion today, our God is still there. In the election cheating or not, our God is there. With the COVID-19 confusion, God is still there. He can heal you. Spiritual issues need tending to. We need only repent of our sin and trust Christ.
What about our economy? God is still there. "Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things." (Matt. 6:31,32)
Stop loving money. Our God loves us. Love Him. Rejoice! He may allow judgement to come our way because we deserve it. Remember though, Jesus died for us on the cross. If you put your faith in Christ, your eternity is sure. Praise God!
Bring your present needs to Christ, he will help. "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you." (1 Pet.5:7) Thank God! We have an all powerful Savior who loves us and cares for us. That's the best news ever.
We keep our eyes on the Savior, who may come today. But if not, we still trust Him. "Blessed is that man that maketh the Lord his trust" (Psa. 40:4)
It's up to you. What will you do with the good news, He gives us. Our faith is in the risen Savior. We can believe God today. We should trust God and go on with the good news. We should share the gospel with all who we come across. Put your faith in Christ today. That is good news.
