PASTOR'S PEN: For the love of God, trust Christ

We are told in the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (Jn 3:16)

If you are breathing, you need Jesus as your personal Savior. Take Him before it's too late, won't you?

There is a huge problem today of blindness. Whether it's in politics, marriage, at the job or in the spiritual realm. Open your eyes to the love of God.

"The Lord openeth the eyes of the blind: the Lord raiseth them that are bowed down: the Lord loveth the righteous." (Psa.146:8)

Are you burdened by your sin? How do you find yourself? Do you really want to face God in your sin?

The Bible says, "The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the Lord: but he loveth him that followeth after righteousness." (Prov.15:9)

Sin is disgusting to God. Will you continue in your blindness to satisfy the lust of the flesh? Will the distraction of godless influences take you from the love of God?

How much better to take the gift of eternal life purchased by the shed blood of Christ on the cross.

The Bible assures us, "The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing." (Zeph.3:17)

We know that, "There is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth." (Luke 15:10)

Will you let Christ into your life? Change your thinking that you are alright without Christ. Don't depend on your good works or religion to save your soul.

What good work or ritual can save? Where is the Bible does it say, works will save? Come to Him by faith.

Only Jesus can save you. He is calling you today.

The Bible says, "Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving kindness have I drawn thee." (Jer 31:3)

The Lord was lifted up on the cross to take our place for our sin.

The Bible further states, "And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me." (Jn 12:32)

Answer His call to you. Don't wait. Don't hesitate. Jesus loves you.

The Bible says, "Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins." (1 Jn 4:10)

He took our place. That's real love.

Remember, Jesus is alive. We have a living Savior, not a dead religious leader. By His grace he will save you when you come by faith.

Start the year out right. Put your faith in a loving Savior. He will not fail you or let you down.

In this day of chaos and confusion, we need our feet on the solid rock. Jesus Christ is our solid rock. Trust Him today.
