The Chicken BigMac 'big' debut, what it is, and where get one or maybe two

McDonald's is debuting the Chicken Big Mac in the U.S. after a wild success in the U.K., leading to the sandwich being sold out before anticipated during the limited promotion. The Chicken Big Mac includes tempura fried chicken patties, Big Mac sauce, pickles, shredded lettuce and American cheese, the company report adds.

In February, the Chicken Big Mac promotional menu launch was meant to run through March. However, McDonald's says it has been forced to drop the burger from its menu due to overwhelming demand, according to a Manchester News report

McDonald's locations in the Great Lakes region have yet to be included in the new sandwich launch, but according to a report on CBS news, the company has alluded to additional U.S. locations being added in the future. The fast-food restaurant plans to test the chicken version Big Mac, for a limited time in South Florida at Miami-based locations in late August.

"While not everything we test makes it on our U.S. menus, we'll use this time to gather feedback from both customers and restaurant crew as we consider opportunities to offer more delicious options in the future," McDonald's told CBS.

The Washington Post was the first to break the story, according to the report, adding that McDonald's CEO Chris Kempczinski called chicken "a priority area" for the company on its second-quarter earnings call.
