Library director Bonnie Povilaitis told the Star the funds were used to replace three aging computers.
“Two of the new computers are now available for the public to use, while the third computer is for staff to use to better serve our patrons,” Povilaitis said. “As a token of appreciation, a label has been affixed to each computer thanking the generous donators of the Great Lakes People’s Fund.”
Members of Great Lakes Energy support the People’s Fund by voluntarily rounding up their bill each month to the next highest dollar. The rounded up amount is distributed to nonprofit organizations and charitable activities that benefit people in communities served by the cooperative.
“A heartfelt ‘thank you’ from the Pathfinder community Library to all that participate and contribute to the People’s Fund and make these grants available,” Povilaitis said.
