BALDWIN — One of the joys of living in a tight-knit community is seeing businesses and organizations come together to help those in need.

During November and December 2022, those who filled up at the gas tank or purchased groceries or other items at Wesco in Baldwin were asked if they’d like to donate change to the Bread of Life Food Pantry in town.

The change from the generous public added up, and $6,004.72 was raised in Baldwin, with Wesco Corporate adding $1,000, totaling $7,004.72 to go toward pantry needs, which the staff decided to contribute to with their choice of local charities to support during the holiday season.

“I know David and his team worked hard at collecting donations and their spirit in wanting to help their community is remarkable,” Bread of Life Food Pantry Director Lynne Mills said. “Good job, team Feed the Hungry. You are making a difference for many people.”

Mills said the staff at Wesco were very excited about helping.

“Thank you everyone who participated in their campaign. You are amazing,” Mills added.
